Meet the Beekeeper

BG Honey Farms was founded in 2014 in Central California by owner and operator Blake Gimbarti, following his graduation from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. During his studies, Blake developed a special connection with bees through a beekeeping course, which sparked his passion for these incredible pollinators. This newfound interest in beekeeping was deeply rooted in his lifelong love for agriculture and sustainability, and it quickly became the driving force behind the creation of BG Honey Farms.

Blake’s connection to agriculture began long before his university days. Growing up on his grandparents’ ranch in Tulare, CA, he was immersed in the rhythms of farm life from a young age. Working alongside his grandparents, Blake learned the value of hard work, the importance of caring for animals, and the deep responsibility that comes with working the land. This early exposure to agriculture, coupled with his academic background in Agricultural Systems Management from Cal Poly, inspired Blake to combine his passions for farming, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.

Our mission

At BG Honey Farms, our mission is to support sustainable agriculture by providing high-quality beehives for pollination services to growers across California. We are committed to promoting the health and vitality of our bee populations, ensuring that every hive we manage contributes to stronger crops and a healthier ecosystem. In addition to our pollination services, we take pride in producing pure, raw California honey that captures the essence of the diverse landscapes we serve. Through our dedication to quality, sustainability, and environmental stewardship, we aim to create lasting connections between our bees, growers, customers, the land, and the communities we serve
